insist on evidence-based treatments.

Effective Treatment for Anxiety

At my anxiety treatment practice in Daytona Beach, FL, I provide personalized and compassionate therapy for adults navigating the debilitating effects of anxiety. My services are focused on helping clients overcome a wide range of anxiety disorders, including Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, Social Anxiety, OCD, and specific phobias. Whether you’re struggling with persistent worry, overwhelming fear, or anxiety that’s interfering with your relationships, career, or daily life, I offer a safe and supportive space to understand what you’re experiencing and develop practical, lasting tools for relief and recovery.

Each session is tailored to your unique needs, drawing from evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and grounded in empathy and collaboration. My goal is to help you feel heard, understood, and empowered — so you can move forward with clarity, confidence, and a renewed sense of calm. Whether this is your first time seeking help or you’ve tried other treatments without lasting success, I’m here to walk alongside you on your journey toward freedom from anxiety and a more meaningful, fulfilling life.

Are you tired of white-knuckling your way through life, because your anxiety has become overwhelming? Have you tried everything you can think of to get rid of your anxiety but nothing seems to work for very long? I use evidence-based treatments to help clients substantially reduce or even eliminate anxiety symptoms, improve their overall well-being, and create a more meaningful and fulfilling life.

For more than four decades, psychologists have been rigorously studying Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and it has emerged as the Gold Standard of anxiety disorder treatments with its impressive success rates, some as high as 80% (for Panic Disorder, for example).

The key, however, to CBT’s high success rates is correctly executing the CBT protocols as they were designed, and that requires proper training. I was

fortunate to have completed my Ph.D. at the 10th ranked clinical psychology program in the country (at the University of Texas at Austin), where I was extensively trained in CBT. And I have been practicing CBT and continually honing and improving my skills for more than 20 years.

During our first session, I will conduct a thorough evaluation and pinpoint an accurate Case Conceptualization of your difficulties. Case Conceptualization is looking at all the pieces of your anxiety symptoms and clearly seeing the whole picture of how anxiety manifests in you, the individual. Once I have a clear understanding of how anxiety affects your thoughts, feelings, and behavior, I will use the research and science behind CBT along with my extensive training and experience to tailor a treatment plan that addresses your individual needs. I will help you build on your strengths, learn new skills to help yourself, and move forward with your life.
